About Cando Personnel
A Kent recruitment and workforce management business built around one idea: the people we send should turn up, be legal to work, and know what they are doing.
Who we are
Cando Personnel is an independent recruitment and workforce management company based in Gravesend, supplying industrial, warehouse, food production, agricultural and driving staff across Kent, South East London and the wider South East. We hold Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority licence KENT0009, which covers our supply of labour into agriculture, food processing and packaging.
We are deliberately not a call centre. Clients get a named consultant who knows their site, their shift patterns and their standards, and workers get someone who rings them about work that actually suits them rather than blasting every vacancy to every phone on the list.
What makes us different
- Screening we can evidence. Right to Work, identity, National Insurance, address, references, health declaration, health and safety induction and an AWR contract — all recorded, dated and monitored for expiry.
- Our own transport. GPS-tracked minibuses and vetted drivers get crews to early starts and rural sites, which is the single biggest cause of no-shows removed.
- Attendance you can audit. Workers clock in and out from their phones with a verified location checked against your site boundary, so the hours on your invoice are the hours worked.
- One number, no surprises. Pay, holiday accrual, employer NI and our margin in one agreed hourly rate.
How we work with clients
Most engagements start with a call and a site visit. We look at your shift patterns, your induction requirements and the practical things that decide whether temporary staff stay — parking, breaks, PPE, how far people have to travel. Then we build you a pool of regular faces rather than a rotating cast, because familiarity is what turns agency labour into productive labour.
How we work with people looking for work
Register with us and a consultant will call you within one working day. We check your Right to Work, run through your experience and the hours you can commit to, and put you on our available list. When work comes in that fits, we ring you. You are paid weekly under PAYE, with holiday accruing from your first hour, and you can see your shifts and your hours in your own portal.
